Day 10: it was my friend’s birthday, and so we got together for a birthday lunch. Although I couldn’t stay for long but I’m happy to see them! ☺️

Hi, my name is Dave. I studied graphic design for most of my life. My hours were filled with Fibonacci, packaging, branding, identity, and learning the true reason why Curlz MT is the worst thing to happen to typography ever. After college I worked two internships, and one studio gig. My education continued in the industry, searching for where I fit in most with my talents. Along the way, my passion for taking photos started to grow as well. Capturing the world around me in images for others to enjoy. It was after this long trek that I realized what was truly important to me, after all, it is the journey more than the destination. I was a graphic designer by trade, but I am photographer at heart. So I left my cubical, in search of a camera and passions without limitations.
There was a 10 year period where I never documented any part of my life through images or writing. I regret not having a camera along that early journey of my life, and I never want to miss these parts of my life again. They were the most significant pieces that helped shape the person I am now and continue to be. It’s those times that I realize ARE the most important…it’s when I was living, truly being myself in my own element.
I’m naturally shy but photography has helped me out in ways I would never know up until now. They say do one thing every day that scares you…I’m scared everyday for the best reasons.
I photograph my surroundings, my walks, people I run into, and people that I don’t know. One day I will get old and have all those memories collected because who knows how much of it I will remember.
Here’s where my long journey begins and ends:
